Frequently asked questions

How do I play?

Two players alternate placing two-cell pieces. Horizontal places left-to-right; Vertical places top-to-bottom. You win when your opponent cannot place a legal piece. Try 2D Board for clarity or 3D Board for a spatial view.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Local play, AI, and Daily Challenge work offline. Internet is only used when loading or restoring the optional Squart Supporter purchase.

What is Premium Themes & Icons?

A one-time in-app purchase that unlocks all premium themes and alternate app icons. All game modes remain free without it.

Premium themes are locked — how do I unlock them?

Open Settings → Themes and tap a locked premium theme to unlock with a one-time Premium Themes purchase.

I bought Premium Themes & Icons on another device. How do I restore?

Use the same Apple ID. Tap a locked theme in Settings → Themes, then tap Restore Purchases. No extra charge applies for a valid prior purchase.

Restore did not unlock premium content

Confirm you are signed into the App Store with the Apple ID used for the original purchase. Try Restore again on a stable connection. If it still fails, contact us with your device details and approximate purchase date (no payment card details).

Alternate app icon will not change

iOS may restrict icon changes on some configurations. Premium icons require Premium Themes. If the icon stays on default after unlock, try again from Settings → App Icon, then restart the app.

Daily Challenge — same puzzle for everyone?

Each day uses a deterministic setup based on the UTC date, so all players see the same challenge board for that day.

Privacy

Squart does not require user accounts for play. Support email is used only to respond to your message. See our Privacy Policy.
